WNBA league officials has tasked Michael Jordan with telling the league’s players to calm down.
The decision comes after a string of viral brawls, eye-gouging incidents, and cat fights that have left fans wondering if they’re watching sport or reality TV.
The tipping point was a recent Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun game where Fever star Caitlin Clark found herself poked in the eye by Jacy Sheldon, then unceremoniously shoved to the floor by Marina Mabrey, sparking a massive cat fight. The WNBA then decided it was time to call in Michael Jordan.
Jordan will be referring every match involving Caitlin Clarke, making sure his presence will calm the ladies and get them focused on playing basketball.
“They are women after all. So telling them to calm down might make it worse, but Michael can do anything,” said WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert.
At publishing time, Michael Jordan has sent the ladies a fax saying “I’m back.”
