WELLINGTON, NZ — After refusing to wear a high-viz jacket during a site visit and test train ride, Winston Peters was spotted in Wellington riding a bicycle without a helmet.
The incident, captured by a journalist who just started working at Newstalk ZB this Saturday morning, shows the NZ First leader pedaling down Cuba Street, without a helmet.
The NZ First leader was heard shouting, “Who needs a helmet on the gayest street of Wellington?”
Local safety advocates are fuming, with NZ Police already dishing out a $55 dollar fine.
At press time, Winston was seen at Darleen Tana’s bike shop, getting his tyres pumped by a salved immigrant.
