WASHINGTON, D.C – President Donald Trump triggered a government shutdown after Democrats refused to chuckle at his latest AI-generated meme, featuring House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries sporting a moustache and sombrero.
The standoff, which began as a routine funding dispute to keep the government open for 7 more until fiscal plans for 2026 were finalise, devolved into a meme-fueled fiasco, with democrats calling Trump a man-child and refused to deal with him, forcing Trump’s hand to shutdown the government.
Economic analysts predict the shutdown, caused by a meme, will cost the U.S. economy $1 billion per week.
“We should ban memes and parody, they are really destroying America,” said Chuck Schumer. “Comedy is dangerous you know. Trolling everyone you don’t like is not healthy. Trump should grow up.”
