HAMPSTEAD, UK — The Golden Globes were gearing up to be unwatched this year, because no one wants to tune in to watch actors lecture the world while getting drunk with champagne and eating caviar on national television.
But the Golden Globes’ rating spiked suddenly as comedian Ricky Gervais managed to give his opening monologue from his bathtub live on X, telling the world what life in Hollywood was really like in 2024.
“Hello, and welcome to the 82nd Golden Globe awards. What a year it’s been. Hundreds of entertainers jumped at the chance to go to The Vatican to meet The Pope. Many from Hollywood. Obviously they weren’t content with only being part part of the 2nd biggest pedo ring in the world…” opened Ricky Gervais from his bathtub.
Gervais went on for a few minutes before users on X realised he was not live on air but would rather watch him in his bathtub than tuning in on Sundays awards.
“Kevin Hart said that being at one of Diddy’s parties was uncomfortable, as he wouldn’t leave him alone. Eventually he had to shout - Imma Midget, not a child,” said Ricky with a smirk.
Kevin reposted Ricky with “It’s true.”
“Justin Timberlake was convicted of Drink Driving. If he’d have gone to jail he’d have heard the words Sexy Back a lot more often.”
At publishing time, polls suggest they have got their money’s worth by watching Ricky’s opening monologue from his bathtub and no one will be tuning in to watch the real show on Sunday.
