NZ — The new Taxpayers’ Union-Curia Poll shows shows George Orwell's Big Brother slightly ahead of National's Christopher Luxon, suggesting a surge in authoritarian leadership as a better option to fix the economy.
According to political analysts, the news is rather surprising, given National’s strong performance in turning New Zealand around, especially in re-setting woke policies, and restoring free speech.
“Well, I guess, almost half of New Zealand want a George Orwellian state, and vaccines. What can we do. Perhaps sell it to Trump,” said Eeryk McRae.
Sources cited several factors for the surge in Big Brother’s ratings, including the fact that people don’t have the patience to wait for new policy changes to deliver fruitful results. Some argue censorship and charging wealthy people more taxes, is the easiest pathway to economic recovery.
“Forget trade deals. Let’s tax the rich and wealthy right here in New Zealand. Push censorship and propaganda, ban X completely, and shut down the borders,” declared Big Brother with a big grin after taking a slide lead in the polls.
At publishing time, analysis shows the poll included mostly union members who have a peculiar distaste for corporates.
