New Zealand Economy Magically Starts Growing After Luxon Wears T-Shirt Over Suit
WELLINGTON, NZ – New Zealand's economy has begun to show unprecedented growth following a wardrobe malfunction by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.
In a recent social media post, the PM shot back at online fashion critique “Derek Guy” for criticising him for wearing a T-shirt over his suit celebrating National Lamb Day, while wearing a T-shirt over his suit. “Derek, I’m gonna level with you here, wearing a t-shirt over my suit, like this one, is exactly how I’m going to grow New Zealand’s economy.”
Economists were seen frantically revising their models soon after the video dropped online. "It's like he's discovered the Philosopher's Stone of economics," exclaimed Cameron Bagrie, an economist bought by the banks. "We've been trying everything from interest rate adjustments to tax reforms, but apparently, all we needed was for our PM to dress like he's about to mow the lawn over his formal wear."
The economy responded with an immediate bull run, with the economy magically growing like economies magically grow when someone does something random. "Woah this is making my head spin," said Brad Olsen, another economist bought by the banks.
In a surprising turn of events, Derek Guy, has been appointed as the new Minister of Economy. "Nicola Willis, what I say to you is, YOU ARE FIRED, Derek, you’re in charge of the economy!" said Luxon on a video posted on X, wearing a Trump T-shirt over his suit that says “YOUR ARE FIRED”
