Mayor Using Phone While Driving Was Protecting Auckland From Distracted Drivers
AUCKLAND, NZ — Mayor Wayne Brown has been hailed as a visionary hero after being caught using his phone while driving. Far from breaking the law, the mayor insists he was single-handedly saving Auckland from distracted drivers.
“I was an underground spy,” said Brown. “I wasn’t just scrolling through memes or blocking people on X who make fun of me. I was conducting a high-stakes sting operation to identify and neutralise drivers using their phones.”
Brown was spotted weaving through traffic on the Southern Motorway, phone in hand, allegedly typing a strongly worded email to “all the other drivers” to put their devices down.
As of publishing time, Mayor was seen being chased by the cops while he was on the phone explaining the cops about his sting operation.
