Matt Walsh Drops New Documentary Film ‘What Is An American’
U.S. — Matt Walsh’s long-awaited follow-up to What Is a Woman? finally answers the question nobody in America was asking, but apparently everyone around the world needed to shut up about.
The film opens with Walsh boarding a Delta flight using only his Daily Wire plus membership and righteous indignation. Cut to Mexico City: Walsh corners a street-taco vendor who posts about American politics on X.
“What is an American?” Walsh demands, microphone trembling with patriotic fury. The vendor, confused, points at Walsh’s U.S. passport. Walsh immediately labels him a globalist.
From there it’s a globe-trotting fever mission. Walsh ambushes a Swedish PhD student in a Stockholm café, “You have universal healthcare and still tweet about our Senate? Tell me… What is an American?”
The third act reaches peak cinema when Walsh stands atop the ruins of a recently democratised Middle Eastern capital, looks dead into camera, and whispers: “If we bombed your village in 2003, you forfeit the right to ratio me in 2025. It’s in the Constitution. Look it up.”
Experts are hailing it as “the most expensive documentary history.” Critics call it “469 reasons to delete your X account and move to Antarctica.” Audiences call it “the reason my VPN now has three layers.”
What Is an American? is essential viewing for anyone who believes free speech is sacred, until a foreigner uses it.
