Mark Mitchell Forgets He Is The Police Minister, Insists He Has No Recollection Of Being appointed As The Police Minister
WELLINGTON, NZ — Police Minister Mark Mitchell today announced he has no recollection whatsoever of being appointed Police Minister.
The bombshell dropped during questioning about the Jevon McSkimming porn-at-work scandal, where Mitchell interrupted the questions with his own question. “I’m not the Police Minister. Why you Asking me?”
When confronted with his own official Parliament biography, the Minister reportedly squinted at the screen and responded, “That’s definitely Photoshop. Look at the pixels around the tie. I would definitely remember if I was appointed as Police Minister.”
National Party colleague and Associate Police Minister Casey Costello attempted to jog his memory. “Mark, mate, you’ve been Police Minister for two years. Go check your emails over the last two years.”
At publishing time, Mitchell had reportedly scheduled an urgent meeting with himself to discuss whether he should resign from a job he still insists he can’t recall holding.
