WELLINGTON, NZ— Soon after the violent attacks on the residence of Foreign Minister Winston Peters, Labour leader Chris Hipkins rushed to condemn all violence he incited.
Hipkins said that everyone in the left must turn down the temperature, because the violence his party has been inciting, has gotten out of control.
“I condemn the attacks at Winston Peters residence who we must get rid of because he is a threat to our democracy, and will again get to decide who gets to be in Government,” said Chris Hipkins. “His refusal to deny Palestine statehood makes him an evil fascist, but that doesn’t mean we should attack him with a crowbar at his home. Do it outside the Parliament building if you really want to.”
Other left-leaning leaders also condemned the attack.
“We urge our supporters to refrain from attacking monsters and evil people who think killing civilians in Gaza is acceptable. Please refrain from attacking them at their homes,” said Green Party co-leader Marama Davidson.
At publishing time, Maori Party has urged its followers to do their best in refraining from murdering their political enemy, David Seymour.
