TARANAKI — Local 7-year-old Jack Lepperton informed his parents that he just built another house on Minecraft after claiming that cleaning his room was “far too hard, and unnecessary.”
Jack’s Minecraft world is packed with 4-bedroom units, skate parks, clean rooms, farms, and animals who roam around without making any mess.
“I have developed a simple AI code that eliminates thousands of man-hour required to keep the homes clean,” said Jack talking to The Chimp Chronicles. “Why do we need kids doing chores when AI can take care of it all?”
Jack’s room, covered in toys, a left mess behind after his Saturday-night playdate with his best friend Max, has got his parents furious as he refuses to tidy up.
“I have decided not to do the dishes, or vacuum my room, or wash my clothes. These skills are just not needed. If I can find a way to not do them in Minecraft, I can figure that out in real-life as well,” boasted Jack. “It’s just such a bizarre concept to be wasting your time doing all these chores.”
As we interviewed Jack, his mother walked into the living room offering Jack $10 to tidy his room, “No thanks, I make way more than that by mining meme coins,” replied Jack.
At publishing time, Jack was claiming his homework was also too hard, and he is developing a computer programme to do his homework.
