Illegal Immigrants Disguised As Firefighters Caught Crossing The Southern Border Into California
LOS ANGELES, CA — A group of illegal immigrants was apprehended at the southern border, all dressed in full firefighter gear. According to Border Patrol agents, the group was found scaling the wall with ladders, fire hoses slung over their shoulders, and axes in hand, claiming they were just there to put out the wildfires.
Eyewitnesses reported that the would-be firefighters were even equipped with authentic-looking fire gear, "they had everything down to the Dalmatian," said Agent Rodriguez. "They were yelling 'Agua! Agua!' as they hosed own the border wall."
LA fire departments have expressed concerns over the arrest, stating they need the people to help with the fire, regardless of the fact they are illegal, and likely engaging in looting when disguised as fire fighters.
The Department of Homeland Security has initiated an investigation into how such a well-orchestrated plan could go unnoticed until the last minute. "We thought the smoke was from a nearby barbecue," confessed an anonymous agent. Meanwhile, the group, now detained, insists they are not here to steal jobs but to help.
At publishing time, the group has been granted temporary visas by governor Newsom to help contain the fire without needing water.
