Greens Host Passover Seder To Remind Jews They Are Doing To Palestinians What Egyptians Did To Them
AUCKLAND, NZ — The Green Party of New Zealand hosted Passover Seder aiming to revise the ancient Jewish holiday narrative. Led by co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick, the event drew a crowd who gathered to retell the Exodus story.
“It’s about historical accountability,” Swarbrick declared, wearing a keffiyeh over her shoulders and a watermelon kippah. “Jews make it sound like this was a heroic story of escaping slavery, but they spent 40 years to end up on a land called Palestine and do to the Palestinians, what Egyptians did to them.”
President of Jewish Council New Zealand, Juliet Moses, was amused. “This is a whole new level of derangement from the Greens. Pray for this woman or man or whatever she identifies with.. probably a “Jew” after her successful Passover Seder.”
At publishing time, Greens have announced they will be hosting Shavuot in a few weeks.
