Germany Says Free Speech Is Responsible For The Holocaust, After Raiding Homes Of Individuals For Posting Memes Online
GERMANY — German Prosecutors appeared on CBS 60 minutes to discuss the dangers of free speech claiming it is a serious issue as it is what Hitler used to carry out the Holocaust.
“Is posting an insult online a crime,” asked CBS reporter. “Yes. Even if you post a meme, it’s a crime.”
The CBS reporter then joined the prosecutors on a raid live on CBS 60 minutes, at the home of a German citizen, who has been shitposting memes on X. “This one is a 23 year old student, and he posted a meme of Elon Musk doing the Hitler salute, and so we believe he is very dangerous,” said the prosecutor before kicking down his door and arresting him.
The German law also prohibits the spread of malicious gossip. “Really?” asked the CBS reporter with a smirk. “Is Keeping Up With The Kardashians illegal in Germany?” to which the prosecutors replied, “yes, even women behaving in malicious gossip online is illegal.”
The prosecutors go on to also explain that even reposting a meme is a crime. “You’re amplifying the spread of free speech, which could lead to another Holocaust.”
At publishing time, Marie-Thérèse Kaiser was charged and fined €6,000 for posting immigrant crime statistics.
