New Zealand Finance Minister Nicola Willis says there is no weak economy or recession, and any reports that claim otherwise, is simply fake news.
“The economy is booming, and everything is fine,” said Nicola Willis. “There is no slowing economy or tough times. Just ask the economists. They will tell you the real truth.”
According to sources from the Finance Minister’s office, the rampant inflation, increasingly unsustainable debt, low business confidence, and rising unemployment are simply conspiracy theories.
“Rest assured, the economy is great. Don’t worry about it. All these news stories are just propaganda and cleverly crafted news stories,” continued Willis.
When asked for comment, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said he is 100% focused on fixing the economy, a problem the Finance Minister believes doesn’t exist.
At publishing time, Finance Minister has issued a warning to all citizens to be vary of anyone claiming the economy is struggling.
