AUSTIN, TX — Mark Zuckerberg announced today that, for the duration of Donald Trump's presidency, Facebook will be lifting its ban on vaccine misinformation.
"We have to do what this new government wants us to do," Zuckerberg said on Joe Rogan, "Previous government wanted more censorship, and this government wants less."
Dr. Fauci expressed concern over this new policy, "This will drive a lot of anti-vaccine memes.” Meanwhile, conspiracy theorists are celebrating what they believe is a victory for 'freedom of speech' or perhaps for their right to spread fear, uncertainty, and doubt.
On the streets, or more accurately, in the comment sections of every news article, the battle lines are drawn with comments ranging from the mildly misinformed to the wildly imaginative.
As misinformation starts to spread like wildfire, the public health officials are scrambling to counter the tide of untruths with actual facts. "There are simple ZERO vaccine side-effects or injuries," commented Pfizer CEO who is not allowed to take the Covid vaccine.
At publishing time, Facebook confirmed this policy will expire by 2028, and they will await for instructions from the new government on what their censorship policy should be.
