AUSTIN, TX — In a late-night X post, Elon Musk revealed the arrival of his 99th child, a healthy 9-pound boy officially registered as Grok 4.2 Beta Musk.
“Welcome to the world, Grok 4.2 Beta,” Musk wrote alongside a hospital photo showing the newborn already wearing a Neuralink chip. “You are the fastest version, must faster than Grok 4.1 Beta. Ask him anything.”
Sources close to the billionaire say the child was conceived naturally “somewhere between a Starship launch and a meme about population collapse,” and that the mother—whose identity remains redacted for national security reasons—has already been offered a senior role at xAI.
At publishing time, Grok 4.2 Beta had reportedly crawled out of the incubator, hacked the hospital Wi-Fi, and posted “First” on his father’s announcement before the nurses even cut the umbilical cord.
