Elmo Denies Communist Allegations, Says He’s A Registered Republican
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Elmo, the beloved red monster from Sesame Street, held a press conference today to address recent allegations that he is a communist.
The allegation came during a congressional hearing when Representative Robert Garcia jokingly asked PBS executives if Elmo’s red fur signaled ties to the Communist Party.
