BURBANK, CA—Following the failed debut of Disney’s live-action Snow White, which stumbled out of the gate with a $43 million opening against its $270 million budget, Disney sent Rachel Zegler a consolation gift: one delicious apple.
Sources close to Disney say the gesture came after weeks of Zegler’s social media outbursts which contributed to the movie tanking.
“Rachel’s been a bit of a wild card,” said one Disney insider, eyeing the apple’s glossy sheen with a furrowed brow. “This is their way of saying… something. We’re not sure what yet.”
