Disinformation Down 70% After TVNZ Fired Many Reporters
NZ — Researchers are reporting that disinformation in New Zealand is already down by 70% in the wake of TVNZ firing about 30 reporters.
“We knew where this disinformation was coming from,” said AUT Head of Journalism Matt Mollgaard. “I mean just look that TVNZ building. It looks like a Russian state-owned propaganda hell-hole. It is designed this way so the moment you walk, you know you’re there to spread disinformation.”
Several studies indicate the country has seen a drastic decrease in hate speech, government propaganda, and retarded takes on everyday events.
“All along, the threat was us,” said TVNZ CEO Jodi O'Donnell. “We have now begun negotiations with the government to pay us for doing a good thing, stopping the spread of disinformation.”
At publishing time, all other news outlets are feeling sad that disinformation as dropped so much, and are fearing losing their jobs.
