Colossal Biosciences, the startup that brought back dire wolves, have announced plans for bringing back the Tomboy.
“We’ve lost such a cool creature,” said CEO Ben Lamm. “Tomboys were the ultimate vibe. It’s time to de-extinct this really cool creature.”
The company claims their cutting-edge DNA tech can splice together the essence of tomboys from vintage Lisa Frank stickers, old skateboards, and a single, perfectly worn-out pair of Converse.
Critics argue that the project risks making trans creatures go extinct, but the startup assured public that if trans creatures do go extinct, they will bring it back.
At publishing time, Colossal Biosciences announced that their first test subject will be New Zealand singer Lorde.
