WELLINGTON, NZ — To help reduce political tension and tone down the violent rhetoric, Green Party co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick told New Zealanders that we must eliminate political violence and also Winston Peters.
“I condemn political violence but we can’t have Winston Peters existing as well.” said Swarbrick to a media scrum at Parliament. “Threats of political violence, and attacks on politicians have no place in our country. I’m calling on everyone to tone down the temperature and get rid of all hateful rhetoric, and Winston Peters.”
Swarbrick told the media that political violence is at an all-time high because of Winston Peters, and eliminating him would reduce the temperature.
“It is really troubling to see so many Kiwis so angry, that someone would grab a crowbar and go to Winston’s residence, and smash a window. It is not the man’s fault. If we eliminate Winston, then there won’t be more political violence.”
At publishing time, Chlöe warned that if Winston Peters continues to exist, political violence will escalate against other politicians.
