All-Female Crew Pack 4 Suitcases Each For 10-Minute Spaceflight

Blue Origin’s NS-31 mission has grabbed attention not for being an all-female crew flight, but for the amount luggage the women-only crew has checked-in for their flight tomorrow.

For a 10-minute suborbital flight, each astronaut has packed 4 suitcases, stuffed with must-haves no woman could leave behind before travelling, even if the flight is 10-minutes long.

Insiders say the bags are loaded with essentials: one for outfit changes, another for makeup and anti-gravity hairspray. A third holds artisanal snacks, and the fourth is just in case, likely carrying a Women’s Weekly magazine.

At publishing time, Blue Origin has announced they will be charging $5000 per extra suitcase for future flights.
