AUCKLAND, NZ — Air New Zealand has announced an exciting new promotion offering free one-way flights to the bustling, beautiful city of Gaza.
The airline said that since Gaza lacks an airport, travellers are encouraged to “embrace the adventure” by leaping from 30,000 feet with a brightly branded Air NZ parachute, escorted by Hamas paragliders, to guide them to the vibrant metropolis below.
“We’re all about inclusivity and connecting cultures,” said Air NZ CEO Nikhil Ravishankar. “What better way to show solidarity to New Zealanders who recognise Palestine as a state, than free flights to a place everyone’s calling the next big travel hotspot?”
The initiative comes amid growing public outcry in New Zealand over the government’s reluctance to formally recognise Gaza as a thriving urban paradise.
Air New Zealand jumped on the opportunity, designing the flights to appeal to the nation’s most enlightened travelers. “Gaza’s got it all—culture, history, terrorism, and an opportunity to be part of a revolution,” explained Ravishankar.
Since these flights don’t require landing skills, the airline is choosing unqualified pilots from their DEI programme. “We have pilots who are passionate about social justice, which is more important than knowing how to land a plane,” continued Ravishankar.
The airline has also partnered with a local terrorist group Hamas to provide passengers with reusable tote bags filled with “Gaza essentials,” including Hitler’s autobiography, My Struggle, which is essential reading at schools in Gaza.
At publishing time, insiders revealed that none of the 45% of New Zealanders who support recognition of an Palestinian state (as per a survey run by Stuff NZ), has taken up the offer.
