DOHA, QA — President Trump touched down in Doha for the first leg of his Middle East tour, arriving in the new Air Force One, a $400 million Boeing gifted by the Qatari royal family.
The plane, which has already sparked controversy due to Qatar’s history of funding Hamas, now features “From the River to the Sea” slogan slapped outside the pilot’s window, courtesy of Qatar.
The slogan, often associated with Palestinian activism and widely criticised as a call for the dissolution of Israel, was reportedly installed at Trump’s request to showcase gratitude to Qatar for the gift.
The gift has drawn sharp criticism from both sides of the political spectrum with Rep. Adam Schiff called the signage a betrayal of American values, citing Qatar’s documented $1.8 billion in financial support to Hamas and its role in funding pro-Palestinian protests at universities like Georgetown, where Qatar has donated nearly $2 billion since 2012.
“This signage is a historic step forward—Trump has given us Gaza, and now Air Force One is flying our message to the world,” said Hamas in a formal statement.
At publishing time, Trump posted on Truth Social confirming that Israel will be relocated to Texas.
