After Losing Millions On Tariffs, ZURU's Nick Mowbray Begs White House For Tariff Exemption, Even Getting A Spray Tan To Impress
SHENZHEN, CN — ZURU CEO Nick Mowbray, once a billionaire, has hit rock bottom after losing millions to Trump’s tariffs on Chinese imports.
The New Zealand native, whose company churns out water balloons and plastic unicorns, stormed the White House, begging for a tariff exemption for ZURU toy imports to help restore his billionaire status.
Sources say Mowbray’s plea took a wild turn when he claimed a connection to President Trump. “We’re both visionaries, ginger, and love a great tan,” unveiling a fresh spray tan looking like a tangerine.
Trump’s Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick rolled his eyes, pointing out that ZURU needs to “consider manufacturing their toys in the U.S.”
At publishing time, Mowbray announced a new ZURU product—“MAGA Spray Tan Kit” for kids, complete with a tiny Trump wig and a bottle of orange goo. “It’s my last hope for an exemption,” he muttered.
