LOS ANGELES, CA — The Oscars monologue started with a sketch no one saw coming—except everyone who’s ever seen an Adam Sandler movie—the beloved slacker icon crashed the 97th Academy Awards, boldly portraying none other than himself, Adam Sandler.
While the rest of Hollywood royalties swanned about in designer outfits, Sandler sauntered in wearing a hoodie and basketball shorts.
“What are you wearing!” shouted Conan O’Brien, “No one noticed what I was wearing UNTIL YOU BROUGHT IT UP!” shouted back Sandler.
